Roberto Clemente continues to deliver mystical impact. It’s really the best way to describe how, 50 years after his tragic and early death, Clemente continues to make an impact on and off the baseball diamond. The Pittsburgh Pirates Hall of Famer was killed in a plane crash on New Year’s Eve in 1972 during an attempt to aid Nicaraguan earthquake victims.
