What is Food Scouts?
Buy me some peanuts and cracker jacks?
Here in the 21st century dirty water dogs and warm, flat beer won’t cut it. Modern sports fans demand diverse food choices, local flavors, unique offers, and value.
Food Scouts has merged old-school baseball scouting methods with sports-watching food fans. In the old days a person would spot a young phenom on a sandlot baseball field. Someone would know someone who knew a crusty scout who’d drive 500 miles across the plains to rate the kid. If the phenom truly had talent, well, let’s just say higher-level scouts would show up and eventually sign the youngster.
Our show is designed with that matrix in mind. Fans are the local scouts. Food Scouts’ experts perform the investigation. Our team responds to fan reports by scouting the situation, digging into the club, stadium, and local restaurant connections.
Once on the ground, we interview chefs, talk about the relationship, explore the food’s creation in the kitchen, tour the stadium/arena, interview fans and share historic/unique facts about the city. In the end, we deliver a scouting report.
